Mani Bhavan is a place where Gandhiji frequently took abode during the times when he grew in stature and strength. Students of Grade 5 to 7 of BHIS Andheri were taken to Mani Bhavan for a field trip on 19th August 2023.

At BHIS Andheri, we strive to provide Education not only within the four walls of the classroom but even in the outside world. With that in mind, they learnt numerous facts about the place, including Satyagraha against the Rowlett Act, which was launched from Mani Bhavan in March 1919. Children were taught that Gandhiji commenced his weekly bulletin, “Satyagrahi” on April 7 1919, and it was also where the first phase of the non-violent freedom struggle was launched.

Our curious children intricately observed and noted information in order to write articles and present their own viewpoints as junior reporters about the place and the significance it holds in the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
