Diwali celebrations are big and mighty at BHIS Andheri. What better way to herald the festivities than with mirth, laughter, and bonhomie? Our students and teachers were dressed to party. They had a Diwali assembly that spoke of the triumph of good over evil. And of course, the Diwali party was the Kaju katli on the plate. The school looked like paradise with all the decor. You simply had to be there!

And true to our sustainable development project, we had a potter come in to help the children make their own ‘gulags (piggy banks just did not seem to do justice to our desi roots). The kids are going to do menial chores and collect money to make an apt donation on January 26, 2020. Yes, education happens the year through and not just on important days.

And on that note, we wish you the brightest Diwali ever! Shine and shimmer like the gold you are. Be sensitive to your surroundings and spread happiness and joy. Happy Diwali, from our family at BHIS Andheri to yours.
