We at Billabong High International School, Andheri, celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and fervor.
In our Pre-Primary section, our little ones at Kangaroo Kids made creative and colorful headbands and flutes, developing their cognitive skills in the process. They also came dressed in colorful attire, adding energy and excitement to the celebration.
Grade 1 and 2 students crafted Krishna’s flute, symbolizing the instrument that Lord Krishna used to spread love and harmony, reminding us of the power of music to bring people together.
Grade 3 and 4 students engaged in pot weaving, signifying the traditional dahi handi celebration, where pots filled with curd and butter are hung high, representing the triumph of good over evil.
Our facilitators explained the importance of Janmashtami, observed as Lord Krishna’s birthday, highlighting the values of love, compassion, and righteousness.
