Collaborative learning has been shown to not only develop higher-level thinking skills in students but to do wonders with their social skills. And when collaborations involve a Global Perspective, it changes the whole world view of a child. Keeping this aim in mind, the Grade 8 students of Billabong High International School, Andheri participated in a Collaborative activity with a Malaysian School where they enlightened one another about the cultural history of their countries. The students of both schools prepared a creative presentation on the cultures prevalent in the famous dynasties of their respective countries in 1600-1800 AD. By meeting on Zoom and talking about the art, literature, architecture, music, and social order of their countries, both the schools gained significant information about the culture of India and Malaysia.
The students went back with an experience they will never forget. Not only was this a learning experience that broadened their horizons, but it took them closer to the future in a more diverse world.
