Even as the world celebrates Teachers’ Day on October 5th, India honours its teachers on September 5th since it is the birthday of our second President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, one of the most distinguished scholars of the twentieth century.

And as schools all over India gear up to celebrate their teachers, BHIS Andheri wanted to make this day special for that one vocation that births all other professions. So, we decided to have a two-day celebration. The children put up a spectacular performance on September 4th and got all the teachers in on the fun and games. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and our teachers couldn’t help but be drawn in.

Thank you, dear teachers. Of all things precious, you give us your time. You are shaping futures and building personas, one child at a time. God bless you. Much love, today and always
